...And We're Still Here....

Go figure!

The Bombers come out of the All Star break on fire going 10-6 and shaving off 2.5 games from division leading San Francisco.  Then again, going anywhere close to 500 for a team that was 14 games under 500 constitutes a 5 Alarm Fire.

Immediately after the All Star Game, SC goes 3-1 against SF.
Then in more recent divisional action the Bombers go 4-2, sweeping Maple and then 1-2 vs Jersey.

All in all, things look kinda rosy for a SC Post Season appearance, as they finish over 500 for the month of July (13-12), and players keep showing up from their rehab assignments to return to the big club.

Holding down an OF spot for the remainder of the season is rookie Bernardo Cisneros who clubbed his first career ABL HR on July 26th versus Maple.  For the season Cisneros is hitting .271, .328 OB and a .381 SLG.  A 100 AB Rookie with a .709 OPS is none too shabby!

In any other year the stats 2B Jorge Rosas is putting up would have him in consideration for Rookie of the Year 14 HR, 61 RBI, 310 AVG, 348 OB, 494 SLG and 842 OPS, however the kid in Cabo has probably locked that up.

Another rookie making a significant and meaningful impact with SC is SP, Aaron Harris.  Harris in 20 games and starts has amassed a record of 11-6 and a respectable 4.51 ERA.  His whip is 1.39, also respectable.  More importantly he's given up just 6 HR's in 127 IP thus giving himself a chance to win every time out.
